Inventory fundamentals

Overselling

Selling more units than you actually have, usually because channel stock counts lagged behind real availability.

Overselling happens when two channels both sell 'the last unit' because their inventory counts updated too slowly. The result is cancellations, refunds, and damaged marketplace metrics -- Amazon and Walmart in particular penalize it hard.

Skuwell prevents oversells by serving every channel from one inventory ledger that updates the moment stock moves. There's no nightly sync gap for two channels to fall into -- the last unit can only be promised once.
