Days of inventory (DSI)

The average number of days your current stock will last at the current sales rate.

Days Sales of Inventory (DSI), or days of inventory on hand, = average inventory / cost of goods sold x days in period. It translates stock into time -- 'we have 47 days of cover' is more actionable than a raw unit count when you're managing cash and reorder timing.

Skuwell shows days of cover per SKU against live velocity, so you can see at a glance what's about to run short and what's drowning in months of stock. Our days of inventory calculator gives you the number for any item.
